Mini Soldering Hoods
From Makerpedia

These portable fume hoods are used to extract potentially harmful fumes released during the soldering process. They also include task lighting and work holding fixtures for use while soldering.
Safe Operating Procedure:
Before using:
- Make sure the fume hood is plugged in, turned on, and the filter media is properly installed.
- Always wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from molten solder and flying debris while soldering.
While using:
- Place the workpiece into the fixture, or if the workpiece is too large, place it near the front opening of the hood.
- Place the soldering pen holder near the opening as well, to capture any fumes released when not in use.
- When soldering, keep the pen and work close enough to the hood that fumes are adequately captured.
After using:
- Clean any debris or waste from the inside of the hood.
- Unplug and store the hood and power supply together.
