Measuring voltage:

  1. Connect the black lead of the multimeter to the COM terminal.
  2. Connect the red lead of the multimeter to the V/Ω terminal.
  3. Set the multimeter to the DC voltage setting.
  4. Connect the black lead to the negative terminal of the circuit and the red lead to the positive terminal of the circuit.
  5. The multimeter will display the voltage of the circuit.

Measuring current:

  1. Connect the black lead of the multimeter to the COM terminal.
  2. Connect the red lead of the multimeter to the A/Ω terminal.
  3. Set the multimeter to the DC current setting.
  4. Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit you want to measure the current of.
  5. The multimeter will display the current of the circuit.

Measuring resistance:

  1. Connect the black lead of the multimeter to the COM terminal.
  2. Connect the red lead of the multimeter to the V/Ω terminal.
  3. Set the multimeter to the resistance setting.
  4. Connect the black lead to one end of the resistor and the red lead to the other end of the resistor.
  5. The multimeter will display the resistance of the resistor.

Measuring continuity:

  1. Connect the black lead of the multimeter to the COM terminal.
  2. Connect the red lead of the multimeter to the V/Ω terminal.
  3. Set the multimeter to the continuity setting.
  4. Touch the black lead to one end of the circuit and the red lead to the other end of the circuit.
  5. If the circuit is complete, the multimeter will beep.
