Color Lamp

The top panels are the sides with notches cut out to help in the assembly process later. The Bottom left panel is the bottom, and the bottom right panel is the top.

In this project we will make a colorful centerpiece for your house or dorm! We will use the laser cutter to cut out the sides of a box, and then create a "stained glass" effect by filling shapes cut out in the sides of the box with colored epoxy resin. The first step is to design our box.

I used a design of my own creation, composed of geometric shapes, but almost anything can be put on the sides of the box. My box is designed to be a 6 inch cube, and the template for that form factor will be attached.

Now that we have a design, its time to laser cut.
