Print out the designs for the button on a piece of paper. Many duplicates of the design can be printed on the same piece of paper.
This tool cuts out the button design from the larger paper.
Line the design up in the center of the hole punch. You can see where the design is in the hole punch and can adjust the positioning as needed.
This is the clear film that goes on top of the button design.
Top of silver part of the button and backward back of the button. The pin part of the back of the button needs to be flipped to the other side.
This is what the button back should look like after you fix it. Make sure it is this way before putting it into the button maker.
When putting the silver part of the button into the button maker, place it where the closed side is face-up. Also, make sure to place it on the left-hand slot of the button maker.
The circle with the design is placed face up on the silver part of the button.
A circular piece of clear film is placed on the circle with the button design.

First, print out a sheet with the design you want on the button. It should fit inside a 1.375 inch diameter circle. Then, put the paper in the hole punch and line it up to where you can see the design you want punched out in the circle. Punch out the circle. Then, on the left-hand slot, place the silver part of the button, with the closed part facing up, then the design facing up, then the clear film. Slide it to where the lefthand slot is under the top part of the button maker. Place the back of the button on the right-hand slot. The backs are backward and will need to be disassembled and righted. the flat part of the pin should be on the side with a dip in the center, and the curved part of the pin should be on the flat side. Place the side with the curved part of the pin face up on the right-hand side. pull the lever down to pick up the objects on the left-hand slot, then slide to where the righthand slot is under the center and pull the lever down again.
